(More customer reviews)I'd say this ring is quite pretty although you don't get any better quality than you pay for, it's definitely costume jewelry. Mine seemed to have a loose center stone but it must have snapped into position while I was carrying it in my purse, because when I took it to be tightened it was fine! The one thing I wasn't expecting was the height of the center stone in comparison to the ring itself. The smaller stones do arch upward in their setting a bit, but the ring is about 7mm tall at the center, with 4mm of that being nothing but the center stone, which makes it easy to catch on things. The color is true to the picture, a beautiful translucent blue, although of course a bit darker when worn because it's not being backlit!
On being an engagement ring - I bought this for myself as a right-hand ring, its style is not what I would consider an engagement ring (the tall, LARGE stone makes it extremely inconvenient to wear while doing ANYTHING with your hands, and engagement rings are worn 24/7 - at least mine is), and any wedding band worn underneath this would need to be curved or angled to sit flush against the curved base of the center setting.
