I have never been a fan of diamonds, preferring the colored stones by far with amethyst being my favorite. The deep rich tones of the center stone is all you could ever ask for in a gem quality amethyst, and the white topaz sparkles just as brightly as any diamond could hope to with much better "energy." Whether being purchased as an engagement ring, or simply as a token of affection you can't go wrong with this ring.
